Professor at the University of Warsaw, Dean of the Faculty of Applied Linguistics

Professor at the University of Warsaw, Doctor of Humanities. Graduate of the Institute of Applied Linguistics at the University of Warsaw. She completed her doctoral studies at the University of Warsaw, obtaining a doctoral degree in the humanities in 2000 on the basis of the defense of her dissertation entitled. “Bilinguale Kindererziehung. Ein Konzept für den polnischen Kindergarten” (Bilingual Education of Children. A Concept for the Polish Kindergarten). In 2009, she received a doctoral degree in linguistics on the basis of the monograph “Bilingual teaching in the light of research and glottodidactic concepts.” As of 2019, she is a professor at the University of Warsaw. In addition to his commitment to research and teaching, he holds numerous academic positions. Currently, she is the Dean of the Faculty of Applied Linguistics, having previously served as its Vice-Dean during the 2008-2012 and 2016-2020 terms. She is Head of the Department of Language Theory and Language Acquisition at the Institute of Specialized and Intercultural Communication at WLS UW. Research interests: glottodidactics, especially issues of bilingualism and bilingual upbringing and bilingual education; translation studies and research on specialized languages, especially specialized translation of texts in the field of law and economics.
